Reshma Sunnassee

Reshma is a highly experienced family law specialist with over two decades of practice, advising clients across the full spectrum of family law matters. Since qualifying in 2004, she has dedicated her entire career to this sensitive and deeply personal area of law, representing clients ranging from ultra-high-net-worth individuals with complex international elements to families seeking pragmatic guidance through challenging times. 

Known for her empathetic yet straightforward approach, Reshma combines compassion with clear, strategic advice that helps clients make confident and informed decisions. Her calm manner, patience, and ability to find practical solutions in high-stakes situations are highly valued by those she advises. 

Before joining KaurMaxwell as a Legal Director in 2025, Reshma was a Partner at two Legal 500 London firms, where she led and developed successful family law teams. She also previously served as Managing Partner of a leading regional law firm, establishing and growing multiple family departments throughout her career. 

Reshma is passionate about empowering her clients to navigate family transitions with dignity and clarity. She regularly advises on divorce and separation, complex financial remedies, international family law, child arrangements and relocation, as well as pre- and post-nuptial agreements. 

In her spare time, Reshma enjoys travelling the world with family and friends, baking, and staying active at the gym.
